AFNS Test Preparation & Nursing Jobs FAQ

Female candidates with F.Sc (Pre-Medical) with minimum 50% marks and aged between 17-25 years are eligible. For Trained Nurses, the age limit is 18-28 years with a nursing diploma/degree.
You can apply online through the official Join Pak Army website (www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk) during the registration period, usually announced in June/July.
The academic test consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) from Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English, and General Knowledge based on the Matric and F.Sc syllabus.
While the exact passing percentage is not disclosed by GHQ, candidates usually need to score above 60% in both Intelligence and Academic modules to move to the medical round.
Unlike GD-Regular Commission, AFNS candidates do not have a rigorous physical efficiency test (running/pushups), but they must pass a detailed Initial and Final Medical Examination.
The starting salary of an AFNS officer (Lieutenant) is approximately Rs. 45,000 to 60,000, including various allowances like medical, transport, and free accommodation.
Preparation requires practicing pattern recognition, series completion, and logical reasoning. Using Pak Shaheens online quizzes and PDF notes is the best way to master these tests.
For BSc Nursing (Fresh candidates), the candidate must be unmarried, widowed, or separated/divorcee without encumbrances. Married females can only apply as "Trained Nurses."
Shortlisted candidates are called for the final interview by the GHQ Selection Board at regional centers like Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, and Multan.
Successful BSc Nursing candidates are required to sign a bond to serve in the Pakistan Army for a minimum period of 10 years after completing their training.
