Joining Pak Army through Short Service Regular Commission which is like grant of permanent commission in which selection has been made on different categories for both men and women. Which are given below;

Basic Criteria / Pre-requisites for Applying in SSRC

Short Service Regular Commission is best for women short service commission. Bother male and female has different officer training academy. This is best commission for women because it is just like a permanent commission (pc).

1. General Duty Medical Officers (GDMOs) as a Captain

  • Age: 28 years which is relaxable up to 35 Years
  • Gender: Male / Female
  • Marital Status: Married / Unmarried
  • MBBS Degree which should be recognized by the PM&DC.

2. Classified Specialist (Specs) as a Major

  • Age: Minimum 28 Years and Maximum 35 Years
  • Gender: Male / Female
  • Marital Status: Married / Unmarried
  • MBBS Degree recognized by PM&DC
  • Higher Qualification as postgraduate in FCPS (Pak) or Equal degree recognized by PM&DC in the relevant Specialization.

  • MBBS Degree recognized by PM&DC
  • Higher Qualification as Postgraduate like FCPS (Pak) or Equal Degree qualified from the Foreign in General Medicine as Recognized by PM&DC
  • FCPS (Pak) or Equal Degree obtained from the Foreign in Gastro, Cardio, Pulmo and Critical Care as recognized by PM&DC.

  • FCPS (Pak) or Equal Degree in Neonatology recognized by PM&DC.

7. General Duty Dental Officers (GDDOs) as a Captain

  • Age: Min 28 Years and Max 35 Years
  • Gender: Male Only
  • Marital Status: Married / Unmarried
  • Degree of BDS in recognition with PM&DC and those who have with One year House Job in PM&DC recognizes institute will be preferred.

8. Classified Specialist as a Major

  • Age: Min 32 Years and Max 40 Years
  • Gender: Male Only
  • Marital Status: Married / Unmarried
  • BDS Degree, FCPS (Pak) or Equal degree of Foreign Qualified having recognition with PM&DC as IvI-III in Periodontics and Maxillofacial Dentistry.

Nationality

  • Candidates must be Pakistani Nationality holder and those who has Domicile of Kashmir / Gilgit Baltistan.
  • After final selection, a candidate having duel nationality holder will surrender other than Nationality of Pakistan.

Physical Requirements in SSRC

  • Minimum Height for Male: 5’ – 4” (162.5 cm)
  • Minimum Height for Female: 5’ (152 cm)

Ineligibility Conditions for Short Service Regular Commission

  • A candidate is ineligible if twice rejected by ISSB for PMA/ OTS/ JCA / Graduate course or Equal to PAF / Navel course.
  • Having special higher qualification and once rejected by ISSB (PMA/OTS/JCA/Graduate course or equal to Navy or PAF) and once rejected for special higher qualification entry has no third chance.
  • Declared permanently UNFIT by Medical Board.
  • Withdrawn from any Government/ Military academy/ Training Institute on any disciplinary grounds.
  • Dismissed from any Government Job, Armed Forces Institute or college in respect of any disciplinary grounds.
  • Dismissed / debarred from any government jobs or including job of Armed forces.
  • Committed any crime and convicted by court of law or having offence with moral turpitude.
  • Having Hepatitis B &C and declared Unfit (Appeal cannot be entertained by the Medical Board)
  • Declared Unfit by the Military Hospitals like CMH except those cleared by the board.

Registration Procedure of Short Service Regular Commission (SSRC)

Registration has two ways to register for Short Service Regular Commission which are given below;

      1. Online Registration (Last Date for online Registration is 31 Jan, 2023)
      2. Registration at Army Selection & recruitment Centres
  • Online registration can be done through Army Official Website. After doing online registration, candidate get date and time after 48 hrs of online registration.
  • Candidate must have their email address.
  • Candidate reports at AS&RCs at the given time and date with necessary documents as mentioned at the end of the page.
  • Candidate must have little knowledge of computer.
  • Those candidates who have no internet facility, they must report to their nearest Army Selection Centers along with necessary documents as mentioned below.
  • Overseas Pakistani may approach to the nearest Consulate General of Pakistan where their applications will be forwarded to the PA directorate with stamping them as Overseas.
  • PA directorate will tell about the date and time of test.
  • Candidates are not admissible for TA/ DA.

Pre-Medical Examination

  • After qualifying initial tests, the candidate will undergo for initial medical examination at the concerned Army Selection & Recruitment Centers.

Final Interview

  • Those candidates who will clear initial medical examination, they will be called for Final Interview in front of GHQ selection Board. This interview will be held at Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi.
  • Those candidate who will clear Interview, they will be sent to the nearest CMH for thorough medical examination.

Final Selection

  • Final selection is being made on the overall performance of the candidate which will be finalized by the GHQ Selection Board.

Training Period

  • Males get their basic Military Training (BMT) at AMC School & Center, Abbottabad for 22 Weeks and females get their Basic Military Training at AFPGMI Rawalpindi (GDMOs/ Specialists).

Bond

  • Final selected candidates will be given a surety bond that they will serve at least for five years for Army. Duration of this time will start just after passing out parade at Abbottabad.
