Selection Criteria for Registration of Pakistan Army Officers in 153 PMA Long Course

Candidate must be:

- Candidate must be:
- Male citizen
- Unmarried (Those who are married and serving in Pakistan Armed Forces on regular basis having age over 20 Years are eligible to apply)
- Educationally, Intermediate or Equivalent / Graduate 2 Years / Graduate 4 Years / Serving Army Soldiers
- A resident of Pakistani Nationality
- A resident of Azad Kashmir/ Gilgit Baltistan’s Domicile holder
- At final selection of PMA Long course, candidate will have to leave the nationality of foreign country and will have to keep only Pakistani Nationality.
- Candidate has to complete 02 years of training period.

General Physical Standards of Candidate for 153th PMA Long Course

Minimum Height of the Candidate: 5’ – 4” (162.5 cm)

Qualification for PMA Long Course-153

Candidate may be:

F.A / F.Sc or Equal certificate having age 17-22 Years (Age relaxation is only three months in both lower and upper age limits)
Graduates having 2 years graduation. Those who are serving in PN / Pakistan Air Force and their age is 17-23 Years, may have three months of age relaxation both in lower and upper age limits.
Graduate having 4 yrs graduation program of BS/ BA Hons/ BBA/ and BPA with maximum age between 17 to 25 years (These candidates have no age relaxation).
Serving personnel of Armed Forces with Age between 17 to 25 Yrs (They have no age relaxation)
Qualified with min 55% marks in Fa/ FSc or Equivalent
Qualified with 60% scores or above in BA/ BSc/ BA/BSc Hons and BBA/ BPA and having 50% marks in FA / FSc are eligible for PMA Long Course.
With 55% marks who have specific area domicile in which areas included: Baluchistan, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan, District Neelum Azad Jammu Kashmir, District Kohistan, Chitral, Dir, Tehsil Bala Kot (Kaghan, Naran) of District Mansehra in KPK, Tharparker and Tehsil Umer Kot in Sind, District Rajanpur, Area of Cholistan Desert, Drawar Fort, Salamsar, Mojgarh and Dingarh of Punjab.
Educated in the above same area as they have received educational certificates.
Having 50% marks in FA/ FSc or Equivalent who are serving in Pak Army.

Hope Certificate apply for PMA Long Course – 153

Those candidates who have cleared their part-I of FA / FSc with 60% marks and appeared/are appearing in second part/ final term examination can appear in the PMA Long Course with Hope Certificate taken by the head of Institute.

Verification of Marks Sheet / Certificate

Those candidates having no certificates issued by the board or institutions with duplicate / revised mark sheet/ matric certificate/ intermediate certificate/ BA/BSc degree, those candidates must get a verification certificate signed by the Secretary / Controller Examination of concerned Board / University.
Those students who have ‘A’ – level certificate in Pakistan having 60% marks are eligible to apply without taking an equal certificate as calculated by IBCC.
But those candidates who have cleared A-level and equal exam from foreign, or have cleared their exam from Pakistan with less marks than Cs, so they can submit an equal certificate issued by IBCC.

Ineligibility Conditions for PMA Long Course-153

Twice rejected by Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB)
Twice screened out by Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB)
Tested within four months (120 days) gap of previous appearance in Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) except waiver granted by the competent authority.
Dismissed/removed/debarred from Government Service including Armed Forces.
Convicted in a Court of Law for any heinous offense (to be ascertained by the competent military authority)
Permanently declared UNFIT by Appeal Medical Board (PUF by AMB). Declared unfit by any Armed Forces Hospital except those cleared by Appeal Medical Board. However, Pakistan Air Force candidates who become medically unfit for flying but fit for ground branches can undergo routine medical Examinations as normal candidates if they are desirous to join other arms.
Declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B & C (AMB cannot be requested)
Withdrawn from any bonded Armed Forces college / Institutions on disciplinary grounds.
Withdrawn/discharged/resigned or purchase of commission from any Armed Forces Officers Academy / Training Institutions on any ground.
Tempering of academic certificates/forgery/concealment to get undue favor.

Online Registration for PMA Long Course 153

Candidates can either register through Internet or by visiting Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCs). Following procedure will be adopted:-

Individual can register himself through online by using Army official website for Joining Pak Army.
Candidates must have their email account before online registration of joining Pak Army.
Candidates are to report at the given time and date at Army Recruitment and Selection Centre.
Once the date is given by the online army registration then it will not be changed.
Candidates have to bring all necessary documents along with him on the day of tests.
Candidate must know about use of computer for online initial tests.
Those candidates who have no internet facility at their homes, they may visit to their nearest Army Recruitment and Selection Centre for Online registration of PMA Long Course.
Candidate must bring following necessary documents for Online registration of PMA long course.
Original Certificate / detailed Mars Sheet of Matric / FA / FSc / Equivalent.
Computerized National Identity Card for 18 years and above or computerized Form-B along with Guardian’s computerized National Identity Card (Father or Mother) for less than 18 years of age.
One set of attested photocopies of the above-mentioned documents.
3 x passport size colored photos duly attested (front and back) by Principal / Class-1 Gazetted Officer.
Original as well as one photocopy of the “Not Recommended” letter by Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) is also required for Repeater candidates.
Old CNIC is not acceptable.
Same documents (Original & One set of Photocopy) are to bring on the day of initial tests of PMA Long Course.

Note: Those candidates who applied for Technical Cadet Course and gone under ISSB irrespective of the outcomes, they will be considered as repeaters. Re-appearing candidates must visit nearest Army Selection Centre.

Initial Medical Examination

After clearing the written examination of PMA Long Course, a candidate has to appear for pre-medical examination. In which, candidate must clean his ear, and body (Undershaves). Moreover, candidate must get check up of eyesight.

Initial Physical Tests (PT) of PMA Long Course

A candidate has to pass the following criteria of Physical Tests.
Running 1.6 KM in 8 Minutes (03 Marks)
Pull Ups with 03 Repetitions in 02 Minutes (2 Marks)
Push Ups with 15 Repetitions in 02 Minutes (02 Marks)
Sit Ups with 20 Repetitions in 02 Minutes (02 Marks)
Crunches with 20 repetitions in 02 Minutes (02 Marks)
Ditch Crossing of size (7’.4” x 7’.4”) with 4’ depth (01 Mark)

Initial Interview of 153 PMA Long Course by the Army Officers Selection & Recruitment Officer (S&RO)

Those candidates who will pass the Initial written, medical and physical test, they will have to present themselves in front of Army Selection & Recruitment Officer (S&RO) for going into the next process of selection.
Candidates when report to the Army Selection Centres, then they are being given white papers and they are asked to write an essay of at least 10 lines in Urdu and English language.
Topics of the day usually reflected at the notice board hanged inside the Selection centre. Each candidate is being given 20 marks for it.
Those candidates who secure less than 12 marks, they are considered as fail in the interview and they become in-eligible for further process of ISSB.
Those who secure more than 12 marks and pass the interview, they are being given ISSB forms which they submit in a specific days.

How to prepare ISSB Tests for PMA Long Course 153?

Those students who will get ISSB forms, they will be given short time to submit it back in the Army Selection Centre so that those forms may be sent to ISSB Centre Kohat.

How can Pakistani Nationality holders living abroad apply for PMA Long Course 153?

Candidates having Pakistani Nationality are exempted from the preliminary selection tests.
Overall physical capability will be checked by the defence authorities.
They are to approach Pakistani embassy for necessary forms of ISSB.
They are to submit necessary documents in Pakistani embassy.
Postal order of Rs. 100/- and a Bank Draft of Rs. 500/- in the name of Director General Personnel Administration, Personnel Administration Directorate, GHQ, Rawalpindi.
Candidates have to mention Pakistani residential postal address.
Candidates will be informed through Pakistani postal address.
Travelling allowance will not be admissible at this stage from abroad to Pakistan.
