Essay on Myself
I am a student who’s studying in a prestigious college in Lahore city. It’s a city where I grew up. I live in a town with my family. The school I studied till 12th is also in the town.
Things I am good at
Almost everyone is kind at least one sport. The one competition that I am good at is basketball. In my school, almost everyone had an obsession with the sport, and so did I. Every game period, my teacher would make us play basketball, along with other games.
Over the years, the way I played basketball improved, and while learning the game, I discovered other lessons as well. One of the lessons I’ve learned is how to play in a team. When you play in a group, you depend on each other for winning.
I have always been energetic and lively. While many people feel awkward and weird, making me friends, I have no problems with making new friends. I can talk to everyone quickly and know them.
A House on Fire
In the evening of last Sunday, I found that the house of our neighborhood caught fire. The flames were rising to the sky.
Suddenly I heard shouts of “Fire, Fire!” I woke up at once and looked out in the street. I saw a house on fire.
I ran downstairs and reached the place. Many people had collected there. They were running with buckets full of water and bags full of sand. What a terrible scene I saw that day!
But it did prove of much help. A strong wind was blowing. Some cries were heard from inside the house. The house belonged to a doctor.
Soon some fire-engines reached the spot. Two firemen entered the burning house. They helped the doctor’s family to come out. Fortunately, no one was killed.
The fire was brought under control. The building was reduced to ashes. The shopkeeper had suffered a great loss. It was a very fearful sight.

Once I was on my way back home from festive shopping when I witnessed a road accident. I was with my sister and it was around 6 o’ clock in the evening. In the middle of the road, we saw a crowd surrounding something. We weren’t quite sure what was happening as the first thought that came to our mind was that it was probably a quarrel between two men. However, when we reached the spot, we found out an accident had taken place.
After that, we got to know the whole story. A man was crossing the road when a truck hit him leaving him severely injured. The man was lying on the ground bleeding profusely and people were calling for an ambulance.
We instantly called up the ambulance but time was running out. Therefore, an auto driver took the man in his auto and rushed to the hospital.
Subsequently, the police arrived as the people had caught the driver and were beating him up. After the police came, they caught hold of the driver and asked about the incident. Later, we came to know that the driver was drunk.
The police detained him and went to the hospital for a statement. Fortunately, the driver was declared out of danger. The doctors dressed his wounds and informed that he was still in shock.
That incident made me realize how precious our lives are. In addition, as to how we take it for granted. We must all be very careful when on road, on foot or by a car that does not matter. We can adopt measures that will prevent road accidents.
There is an old proverb that says ‘Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man health, wealthy and wise. I am in the habit of getting up early in the morning and have formed the habit of taking long morning walks in the past two years.
It is a light exercise and best for physical fitness. The morning air which is fresh and pure is beneficial for the lungs. The early rays of the rising sun are good for healthy skin. ‘ Health is Wealth’ and Doctors also recommend morning walk to their patients for gaining sound health and freshness of energy.
At a distance of about one kilometer from my house there is a big park. Along with my neighborhood friend I cover the distance. We jog in winters and walk easily in summers. On the way we meet other people , whom we know by now heading towards the park.
We exchange greetings and move on. It is very rare that we two friends miss our morning walk.
During winters mostly the people stay indoors but during summers young and old alike are seen enjoying the beautiful weather. The dew drops on the leaves, grasses and flower petals shine like little pearls.
There is the refreshing cool breeze blowing the sweet smell of the flowering plants. The birds chirruping in groups are seen all around. It is almost the same scene daily and same people dew meet in the park but the charm of early morning is everlasting.
We run on the circular path of the park. After two –complete rounds we let ourselves fall on the wet grass and roll happily on the softness below.
Few little children are seen playing with balls. Only the old and the aged are seen sitting in a group. They all know each other well. They prefer to sit quietly and discuss matters on politics, the changing times and their younger generations. Fat people walk briskly in a bid to reduce extra fats.
As we lay down to rest we watch the sun in the sky. The sight of the rising sun and the quick change of colour is captivating.
The morning walks keeps me fresh and energetic the whole day. A regular morning walk is necessary for maintaining a sound body and mind.

My mother is an ordinary woman she is my superhero. In every step of my, she supported and encouraged me. Whether day or night she was always there for me no matter what the condition is. Furthermore, her every work, persistence, devotion, dedication, conduct is an inspiration for me. In this essay on my mother, I am going to talk about my mother and why she is so special to me. Why I Love My Mother So Much?
I love her not because she is my mother and we should respect our elders. I respect her because she has taken care of me when I was not able to speak. At that time, she has taken care of all my needs when I wasn’t able to speak.
Additionally, she taught me how to walk, speak, and take care of myself. Similarly, every bigger step that I have taken in my life is all because of my mother. Because, if she hasn’t taught me how to take small steps then I won’t be able to take these bigger step.
She is an essence of truthfulness, love, and sincerity. Another reason is that she showers her family with her blessing and live. Furthermore, she gives us everything but never demand anything in return. The way she cares for everyone in the family inspires me to the same in my future.
Also, her love is not just for the family she treats every stranger and animals the same way she did to me. Due to, this she is very kind and sensible towards the environment and animals.
Whenever I was in trouble or scolded by dad I run towards my mother as she is the only one that can save me from them. Whether a small homework problem or a bigger problem she was always there for me.

A postman is a well-known person. He is a public servant. He works in the post office. He delivers letters, money orders, parcels, greeting cards, etc. from door to door and street to street. His services are very important.
People wait for his knock on the door. He is always welcome. The postman wears a khaki uniform and carries a bag full of letters, etc. He collects letters from letterboxes. Then they are sent through the mail-vans and trains to the addresses at different places.
He delivers letters received in his post office from other post-offices and places. He delivers registered and speed-post articles also. He links people and places. He brings news from friends’ relatives and near and dear ones from distant places.
He brings greetings and good wishes cards. Sometimes there may be a piece of unwelcome news. But again, it is important because it concerns us. The news is news, whether good or bad and must be communicated.
The duties of a postman are difficult. These are more difficult for a postman working in a village. He has to cover long distances on foot, bicycle or sometimes on can boats. Sun or rain, freezing cold or scorching heat, he is on his duty.
But he is poorly paid. His salary is meagre. He has poor chances of promotion. His work conditions and pay should be raised. He should be provided with government accommodation. His children should be given better opportunities for education and training.
He should also be insured as he has to face dangerous situations. In far-flung rural areas, he has to cross rivers and thick forests When he carries money orders, his risks increase all the more. He deserves our sympathy and regard.
He has very few holidays and his hours of work are long and difficult We must give him better treatment and salary.
My favorite Book
A Book is like a true friend, a philosopher, and a motivator. They are incredible gifts to humans. They are a source of immense knowledge and wisdom. You can turn to books for guidance in your life.
They offer many insights and give a magic portal to connect ourselves with people of the past and present. It helps you live with a purpose and clarity most of the time. Reading is a great habit to inculcate.
Great readers become great writers while great writers become great communicators. It makes good societies. The positives of books are endless.
Some people like to read books because they can learn so much. Other people want to read because they can escape the truth. Also, other people just like the feel and smell of books. It discovers the passion for stories.
We live in a generation where you can choose from more than a thousand books, fiction, and nonfiction, whatever you want. There have never been so many choices and so many sources to choose.
There is something for everyone. At first, it is hard, but once you create a habit, you see it is all worthwhile. Books pass on the knowledge to our future generations. It can transform the world.
A is one of the most important members of society. He is the giver of food to the people, to all practical purposes. He gets up early in the morning and goes to his fields. Now-a-days, in a number of states, the days of ploughing the fields with the help of oxen are almost over except for the farmers who are – too poor to purchase a tractor.
The farmer has many kinds of works to do. He ploughs his fields. He sows the seeds. He waters the fields regularly. He has to take care of the crops. He has to protect them against hail and frost.
He has to apply compost and fertilizers. He has also to ; sprinkle insecticides and pesticides to protect the crops against pests and insects. Most of the old farmers are illiterate. But the farmers of the new generation are mostly educated.
Their being educated helps them a lot. They get the soil of their fields tested in a laboratory. Thus, they can know what kind of crop will grow best in their fields. Although the lot of big farmers has greatly improved, the condition of small land-holders and marginal farmers is still far from being satisfactory.
The Street Beggar
Beggars are the people who restore to begging for alms from other people. Beggars can be seen at various places. But the main areas of their operations are the places of pilgrimage and worship. They squat on the banks of the rivers, in front of temples, churches, mosques, gurudwaras, and other places of hectic activity.
They roam from street to street, from one locality to another begging for alms. Though they usually accept whatever is given to them, some beggars can get very irritating and aggressive.
Some people give alms to beggars in order to ward them off and not due to pity. Many beggars are so young and healthy that they do not deserve charity at all. The deserving cases are very few; those who are crippled, lame, deaf, dumb, blind or handicapped and cannot earn their living.
Some are in such a pathetic state as to evoke pity and compassion. Such crippled beggars are well versed in the art of singing religious songs. Some beggars have a very melodious voice. Their sweet voice attracts the passers-by. Such beggars are found in trains and buses and they enthrall the travelers through their religious and devotional songs.
Most beggars thrive due to the generosity of soft-hearted people. These beggars never miss religious gatherings and festivals. Some wear only a loin-cloth. Some beggars besmear themselves with ash while others have long hair and carry a pair of tongs.
Some meditate under trees. But many are cheats and charlatans. These beggars deceive the innocent people and at times even rob them.

A visit to an Historical Place
In this modern age, we remain busy day and night like a machine. Our minds are all the time preoccupied with the worries and responsibilities of everyday life. We are unable to understand the need of pleasure in human life.
We should realize the fact that life should be enjoyed with all its charms and pleasure. We also spare some time for pleasure and recreation. (W. Davies).
In this age of hurries and worries, a picnic provides an escape from the monotonous routine of life. Last Sunday, we decided to go on a picnic. We wished to visit some historical places because they are our cultural heritage.
So, we chose Jahangir’s Tomb as our picnic point. We reached the tomb in the morning at 10. The weather was very pleasant. The splendid building of the tomb was very impressive. There was greenery all around. A cool breeze was blowing. Birds were chirping in the trees. There were vast lawns, open spaces and flowers of different colours. (Luther Burbank)
Jahangir’s Tomb is the best place for a family picnic. There, we enjoyed ourselves very much. Everyone was taking interest in the remarkable structure of the building, matchless beauty of the lawns and historical significance of the Tomb.
At about 2 o’clock, we sat under a shady tree. My mother spread the table cloth on the ground and put our things on it. Mother had prepared many tasty dishes. We took some meal and had some rest.
Then we played cricket in a grassy park. It was a source of great amusement. My elder brother told some interesting anecdotes. We sang together some national and film songs.
In the evening, we packed our belongings and our way home. Our hearts were saturated. It was a picnic of full enjoyment and recreation.
A journey by Train
A journey is often a pleasure. A journey by train is also a pleasure. A journey by train is much more joyful to me. It was summer. My school was closed. I and some of my friends decided to go to my sister’s house in Chittagong by train.
We reached the Kamalapur railway station by taxi. We bought our tickets and got on the train at 7 a.m. When the train whistled, the train started moving. I sat beside a window. The train left the urban area soon. Then the train began running through the green field of the rural areas.
I gazed and gazed at the houses, trees, and meadows. My mind became cheerful. Everything seemed to be running. Then it crossed a bridge over a river. It was an express train. It stopped only at a few big stations. At noon we reached the areas of Chittagong district. I felt joy seeing hills.
After seven hours, the train reached the Chittagong railway station at 4 p.m. We got down from the train and went to my sister’s house by taxi. We enjoyed the journey much. It gave us much pleasure. A journey by train is a joyful journey. We shall never forget this journey. It gave me a lot of pleasure. We enjoyed the journey very much.
A Visit to the Museum
Our school organized a picnic yesterday. We were taken to a Natural History Museum in Lahore.
A visit to a museum imparts us knowledge about the civilization of the past. We saw swords, shields, daggers, and other weapons of war.
We also saw the dresses used by the soldiers of the olden times. We saw ancient toys, utensils, and other household goods.
We saw old coins of Pakistan. We also saw many statues, pictures, and portraits there. The statues were of gods and goddesses. They were made of bronze, marble, or copper.
There are records of the achievements made by Pakistani states after independence. I was very happy to see all these things.
A Football Match
I saw a grand football match last month. The teams of our college and another college played this match in the local club. The football match started at about 4 p.m. Hundreds of students and outsiders were sitting around the ground. The Principal of our college was going to give away special prizes to the winning team.
After the match started, the players of both the teams began making efforts to score a goal. But it was not easy to do so as both the sides had the best players of the town. it was just before the interval that the players of our team started moving towards the goal of the other side. The left-in of our team was successful in scoring a goal against the other team. Soon there was the interval.
During the interval, the students of our college lifted the players of our team on their shoulders. I also joined them and started shouting in joy. We were now sure that our team was going to win the match, After the interval, the game was very fast. The other team was trying hard to score a goal against us.
They were attacking our side very forcefully. Once or twice, the football reached close to our goal. The centre-forward of our team started playing the game very actively. He took the ball from the players of our team and started running forward with it. Some players of the other team tried to take it away from him.
But they could not do so. At last, our centre-forward reached very close to the other goal. The goalkeeper of the other side tried to defend the goal. But our centre-forward kicked the ball so hard that it fell into the goal. It was the second goal against the other team. The other side could not score any goal against us, and we won the match.
In every person’s life have to be a hobby. Despite the fact that a person as a whole is designed to work and improve the world around, and no one will never be truly happy and successful, respectively, if it will not have enough time to engage in favorite business.
Hobby – this is a favorite thing because it would be desirable for them to spend as much time as possible doing exactly what you like most of all. Fortunately, there is a hobby in my life. Therefore, after much effort and serious efforts can I be sure that is always waiting for me when I can do what I love.
Throughout our lives, we take the time to perform particular tasks that can help us make a living or build stairs to our future and careers. However, amidst these mandatory tasks, most of us also do things we enjoy doing. Such activities are called ‘hobbies’.
If you could invent something….
If I could invent something new, I would like to develop a flying car. As we all know “Necessity is the creation need of all inventions”. Earlier people use used to go by cycle or by walking but since the car has been invented; people have started using cars rather than the former by cycle or walking. I have number of reasons in support of my invention :
First of all, cars play an important role in everybody’s day-to-day activities such as going to work, doing groceries etc. Even with public transit available in major cities people use their personal cars to travel.
This results in a lot of cars on the road at the same. Especially during business hours when everybody is trying to get to their work place people encounter huge traffic jams. My invention could bring some relief to this traffic situation every day and some people would be able to use the flying car to get to their work without getting stuck in traffic jams.
Secondly, the use of flying car would increase productivity and efficiency in everybody’s life. People would be able to spend quality time at work rather than spending so much time in traffic jams each day. In my opinion, it will also give people more time to spend time with their families and enhance the quality of life of many people.
Lastly, I believe that it would be a lot of fun driving in the sky than on the road. Isn’t that exciting ? It will be a joy ride for everyone.
In conclusion, I would like to spread a word of caution to the users of my flying car. They need to be careful while driving this latest piece of technology and respect everyone’s air space as not doing so could cause fatal accidents in the air.
My contribution for my homeland will be
I can really contribute towards my country as a student. The best I can do is make myself best. I as student can contribute best by giving my best. I must do my job and responsibilities perfectly.
All the challenges can easily be overcome provided the entire youth power and resources are utilized and used optimally under the right guidance of dedicated leaders. India can do wonders. India will do wonders surely.
And that will happen only when the Indian students set their hearts to make India the land of opportunities, growth, and prosperity with their words, deeds, and acts.
If a nation is to achieve invincible prosperity in the fields of health, finances, science, technology, and innovation, the youth of that nation must adopt the principle of integrity as it is a divine quality; it augments energy, enthusiasm, creativity, fearlessness, purposefulness, and accomplishment.
Applying integrity even in the minutest details, they must persevere in the fields above mentioned. In conclusion it can be said that if the student power is tapped optimally and wisely, the national development is just a cinch.
We learn from our errors
Failures are the stepping stones to success. It is from those mistakes which makes us a better person and strive hard to our dream destination. Our mistakes teach us what went wrong and how to correct it. Each and every human has come across a phase in their life which they thought was their hardest part of their life. However, this particular phase taught them to become bigger and better.
Time and experience have proved to be the best teachers they can be. Every wrong or bad decision we take has a life lesson that we learn. Time is a way of telling how far you have come.
Experience is a way of telling how strong you have become. We need to learn from the mistakes that we make. In this wake we make a stronger version of ourselves that later becomes indestructible.
Only from a proper experience phase of your life you learn how to judge anything and everything in an unbiased manner. A fraction of us have to fall a couple of times on the same stone before they learn that particular lesson.
Knowledge is wisdom. Knowledge is everything. The knowledge you have helps you to make a good or a bad judgement of the current situations.
How mobile phones has changed our life
Cellular phones have had a major impact on our lives and the way that we perform every day tasks. Many of these changes are apparent, while others we may not even be aware of. Cell phones have brought a whole new meaning to the term multitasking. Twenty years ago, it was not possible to talk to the office while you were at the grocery store picking up some necessary items.
You could never have had a three-way business conference while you were fixing dinner or been able to deal with a business client from home while caring for a sick child. Cell phones have enabled us to do various tasks all at the same time.
Cell phones have also enabled families to keep in closer touch with each other. Children can contact you if they have missed their ride form soccer practice and your spouse can call while he is stuck in traffic to let you know that he is going to be late for supper. Teenagers are able to call to ask permission to go somewhere, and with GPS features that are now available on some cell phones, you are able to check to make sure that they are where they are suppose to be.
